LAS VEGAS (AP)—Oregon State kicker Justin Kahut converted a 33-yard field goal with seven seconds left to give the Beavers a 23-21 win over UNLV on Saturday night.
Teammate Jacquizz Rodgers rushed for 166 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries and had 65 receiving yards on 10 receptions. His brother, James, finished with 109 total yards and a receiving touchdown for the Beavers (2-0).
Backup quarterback Mike Clausen rallied UNLV (1-1) with two fourth-quarter touchdown passes which gave the Rebels a 21-20 lead with 4:16 left.
Oregon State, though, answered with a 12-play, 87-yard drive that culminated with Kahut’s game-winning kick. It was redemption for Kahut, who in the first half missed a 47-yarder off the left post and an extra point.
The Beavers built a 20-7 lead on third-quarter touchdowns by the Rodgers brothers and a 1-yard pass from Sean Canfield to Brady Camp with 1:04 left in the second quarter, the only points of the first half.
Canfield was 25-of-31 for 198 yards and two touchdowns.
Phillip Payne caught the last Clausen touchdown pass, a 10-yarder, while Rodelin Anthony had a 13-yard reception with 10:53 remaining. Clausen was 6-of-9 for 58 yards in the quarter and replaced Omar Clayton, who left with a sore knee, to start the fourth quarter.
Clayton threw for 170 yards and a touchdown on 18-of-26 passing.
Rebels receiver Ryan Wolfe had 91 yards on nine receptions.

The pass intereference call was the right call and I'd admit that even if it went the other way. The guy should have been more aware and had his head in the play.
Did anyone else hear the announcer compare the Rogers brothers to the Kennedy family?!?!?.. That dude may have been a great player but he is a terrible announcer. I believe he also called a player...Jaquizz I think... "Bombastical" and missed EVERY ref's call that he guessed at. He was painful to listen to.

I think their points r being made toward the hoax that is "the BCS"... and the lack of respect & the $$'s that's been with-held from the MWC & non-BCS teams for over a decade now.
IMHO, I think u should probably just acknowledge your good fortunes,,, to have been included in the BCS, to have won this game... and acknowledge that UNLV and the MWC is worthy of BCS inclusion... or more accurately, acknowledge that the BCS is a farce similar to the great Wizard of OZ.
I wish both teams a great remainder of the year.

Even teams that finish first and second to go to the BCS campionship game have an ugly one or two along the way. Angry UNLV fan...get over it. You beat yourselves, not the reffs fault, and remember it was on YOUR field with YOUR conference officials...Post number 5, you hit the nail on the head. I agree with ya that the Mountain West deserves an automatic bid, defintately more so than the Big East.

I am not saying that the Pac 10 isn't strong, cause it is clearly better then the Big East .. and very even if not better then the Big 10 ... but the Mountain West Champion deserves an Automatic Bid to the BCS.. if the Big East gets one... why cant the Mountain West..
I hate how money rules this damn sport
