BRISTOL, Conn. (AP)—The Southern California-Ohio State thriller is the most-viewed college football game ever on ESPN.

USC’s 18-15 come-from-behind win Saturday night drew nearly 10.6 million total viewers, more than any regular-season or bowl game on the network. ESPN said Monday that the 7.3 rating was its highest for a college football game since Florida State-Miami 15 years ago.

daveypurple (1090) Of course, OSU let USC back into the game. That's the game they should have won but blew it. Any team that gives USC an opportunity will lose. Though their turnovers were minimal their QB got sacked a good number of times and they just didn't execute on offense. Penalties hurts them too and I believed they got more than USC (which was one of the highest penalized teams.)

I have the first quarter and last 7 minutes of the game recorded and I count 4 sacks on Pryor during just that time, what gives with the sack count in the box score? It says that there was only 1. Doesn't intentional grounding count as a sack? There were 3 more times that Pryor was caught in the backfield in the first quarter, granted it was not taken seriously because it looks like the guy was rushing since he was running all over the place, but isn't a sack when the QB is caught behind the line of scrimmage for a loss even if he runs out of bounds? Again, that's just during 22 minutes of the game.

One thing about living in the Northwest is that teams will take one good win and become National Title contenders or one decent season and live off of it for a decade.

Everybody can second guess-the fact is the Trojans went into a very hostile environment and pulled the victory. This was one of the most hostile venues I have seen. Not an easy task-GO TROJANS

Michael H. (#1072) If neither quarterback Matt Barkley nor All- American saftety Taylor Mays is healthy, I
guess Washington might win. Sarkisian also knows the USC system---it all adds up to a Huskie win!
Another plus for the Huskies is if it rains. GO USC!

Michael H.- You are beginning to sound like some of these whinning Ohio State fans. I was perplexed and
puzzled that you would give the Buckeyes more credit in choking than you gave USC in coming back to win.
Yes, Ohio State should have won, but didn't! Great teams win these type of games--even in hostile territory!
And Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel proved once again he has the ability to trip over his shadow at the sight
of another highly rated team---even if the game is in his own backyard at The Horseshoe! Being a knowledgeable college football fan, I thought you were aware of the fact that Ohio State, although they are a
great football team, is built to fail---they melt and Jim Tressel has a brain-cramp at the sight of another highly
ranked team! And being a knowledgeable college football fan, you no doubt are aware of the fact that Ohio
State has not defeated my Trojans since the 1974 Rose Bowl. Good luck to your Tide this week, my friend!
    God Bless!

May I remind you good people that the NFL is NOT a charitable organization? If USC is so overrated, why were 11 players drafted in the Spring of 2009, 53 players during the first 8 years of Pete Carroll's tenure, and 457 players over the course of the NFL's existence? It is completely unreasonable to ignore USC's longterm performance-AND POTENTIAL- on the basis of a single game and call us overrated. The Trojans did not play brilliantly,as the team is still adjusting to a new defensive coach, new players and new positions.OSU wasn't at their best either;and it is equally pointless to define their worth by a single game a well. As for Michigan-thanks. Dr. Bartner earned all three of his music degrees at Ann Arbor, took the job of band director at USC and turned the Spirit of Troy from a good marching band to a great one. When I was an undergraduate, games aganist Michigan had a special mood.Of course the team intended to win, but the level of bloodlust was a bit lower. Pete Carroll and Dr. Bartner represent what USC stands for: ambition, talent, hard work, success, and pride born of accomplishment. That's why a freshman QB knows he won't be a beanchwarmer for long-hard work will put him in the game, the best snare player in the drumline will lead even if he is a foot shorter than the others, four Film or Drama School graduates won Oscars on the same night a few years ago{Forrest Whitaker topped the list} , the Rhodes Scholars chosen in 1988 and 1989 were hot girls, and 7+ Trojans won Fullbright Fellowships in 2006-20007.We're proud because we are capable-and we get things done.

Haters, haters, haters. It never stops amazing me that so many people in America, have such dis-taste for the "TROJANS". Bleeding cardinal & gold. I would still respect who the elite teams of college are. Top to bottom, the PAC-10 can compete with any other conference on any Saturday. Take a look at this past weekend UCLA beat tennesse. in knoxville (SEC team) I might add they beat them last also. Oregon whipped up on purdue@ purdue (BIG 10) USC dumps on ohio state @ the horse-shoe making ten wins against big 10 give me a break.......thank you very much.......you can email any comments to my personal email....psiphi99@gmail.com

As a life long USC fan I have to say, I was happy for the win, but I think we looked flat for most of the game.

Hopefully, this will be a confidence builder for our young QB, and we can slowly start putting together a more complex (and dynamic) offense.

I also think we better come with some intensity this weekend because Washington isn't going to just rool over.

    Fight on boys!
