Ark.-Monticello defeats Ark.-Pine Bluff 27-3

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP)—Arkansas-Monticello’s Jywin Ceaser scored two touchdowns Saturday to help the Boll Weevils beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 27-3.

Ceaser had 10 catches for 165 yards for Monticello (1-1).

Monticello’s Joseph Lockwood and James Jackson also scored second-half touchdowns, the final score coming when Jackson returned an interception 35 yards.

A field goal in the second quarter by Carlos Reyes accounted for the only scoring by the Golden Lions (0-1).

Boll Weevils quarterback Scott Buisson completed 17 of 26 passes, two for touchdowns. Casey Cathcart also had a touchdown pass for Monticello.
