SALISBURY, Ala. (AP)—Justin Babb rushed for 229 yards, including an 81-yard touchdown, in Savannah State’s 34-12 win over Livingstone on Saturday night.
The Tigers, who jumped out to a 25-0 lead, had 391 rushing yards on 49 carries.
Savannah State’s Daniel Heslop had eight carries for 83 yards.
Division II Livingstone (0-2) had just 28 rushing yards on 26 carries.
The Blue Bears didn’t get on the scoreboard until there was 3:28 remaining in the third quarter. Quarterback Steven Williams connected with Omar McFadden for a 30-yard touchdown.
Williams, one of the few bright spots for Livingstone, had 197 yards on 18 of 31 passing and two touchdowns for the Blue Bears.
