Stonehill beats Wagner 45-42

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (AP)—Eddie Vachon rushed for 191 yards and three touchdowns as Stonehill held off Wagner 45-42 on Saturday.

Tim Morrison completed 5 of 13 passes for 112 yards and two scores, and Stephan Neville returned a 91-yard kickoff for a score to lead the Division II Skyhawks (1-1).

Stonehill capitalized on four turnovers by the Seahawks (0-1), an FCS team.

After two Frantz Placide kick returns for scores put Wagner ahead 28-14 midway through the second quarter, Stonehill scored three straight times before the half to take its first lead.

Neville started the scoring spree with his kickoff return, Vachon ran for a 52-yard score and Morrison hit Oscar Alvarez on a 12-yard touchdown with 11 second left, giving the Skyhawks a 35-28 lead at the break.

Morrison hit Kyle Norwood for a 38-yard score, making it 45-28 early in the fourth.
