CLINTON, S.C. (AP)—Zach MacDowall scored two touchdowns to help Coastal Carolina hold off Presbyterian 21-13 on Saturday.
MacDowall was 14 of 22 for 128 yards and one touchdown, adding 27 rushing yards and another score for the Chanticleers (6-5). Coastal Carolina outgained the Blue Hose (4-7) 374-328, but capitalized on three turnovers.
The Blue Hose took a 7-0 lead on Chetyuane Reeder’s 16-yard run in the second quarter.
The Chanticleers scored the next 21 points, including MacDowall’s 38-yard run and his 8-yard pass to Keith Graham.
Brandon Miley’s 67-yard pass to Reeder pulled the Blue Hose within 21-13 midway through the third, but the Chanticleers held Presbyterian scoreless in final quarter.
