HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP)—Mark Spivey threw for 192 yards and had one rushing touchdown and Prairie View scored 17 unanswered points in the second half to beat Alabama A&M 24-10 on Saturday.
The Bulldogs (4-6, 3-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference) took a 10-7 lead in the second quarter on Jeremy Licea’s 23-yard field goal. Kevin Atkins connected with Thomas Harris on a 68-yard touchdown in the first for Alabama A&M.
But the Panthers (8-1, 5-1) took their first lead of the game in the third when Mark Spivey scored on a 6-yard run. Kyle Mathew made a 36-yard field and Anthony Beck scored on a 50-yard interception.
Donald Babers ran for 70 yards on 24 carries and a touchdown for Prairie View.
Harris caught seven passes for 152 yards for Alabama A&M. Kevin Atkins completed 13 of 29 passes for 213 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
