Duquesne tops Wagner in 14-0 win
NEW YORK (AP)—Duquesne scored twice in the third quarter for a 14-0 win Saturday over Wagner, halting a five-game losing streak.
Duquesne quarterback Kevin Rombach threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Brian Layhue at 12:33 of the third, and Cleo Williams scored on a 13-yard run with 26 seconds left in the quarter.
Rombach was 10 for 20 for 112 yards, and Williams finished with 114 yards on a career-high 28 carries for the Dukes (3-6, 2-4 Northeast Conference).
Wagner (3-7, 1-5), which managed only 26 yards rushing, has lost four straight games.
