Georgetown beats Marist

WASHINGTON (AP)—Keerome Lawrence threw for 119 yards and a touchdown and Georgetown beat Marist 13-12 on Saturday.

Lawrence, who completed 11 of 17 passes, connected with Collin Meador on a 13-yard touchdown in the first quarter for the Hoyas (2-7, 0-4 Patriot League). Georgetown snapped a seven-game losing streak.

The Red Foxes (3-7) had a 12-10 lead at halftime after Obuzua Ehikoya had scoring runs of 3 and 4 yards. Ehikoya finished with 89 yards rushing on 21 carries.

But Jose-Pablo Buerba’s 30-yard field goal put the Hoyas ahead for good in the third, as Georgetown’s defense held strong the rest of the way for the win.

Marist quarterback Chris Debowski went 8-for-18 passing for 86 yards and two interceptions. He also ran for 86 yards.
