INDIANAPOLIS (AP)—Josh McGregor passed for 238 yards and four touchdowns to lead Jacksonville to a 45-9 victory over Butler on Saturday.
McGregor, who completed 14 of 20 passes, hit four receivers with touchdown passes of nine, 13, 25 and 51 yards. He also set a school record with 21 touchdown passes for the season.
The Dolphins (6-3, 4-1 Pioneer Football League) jumped out to a 14-0 lead on McGregor’s first two touchdown passes. Butler (6-2, 4-1) followed with a 62-yard touchdown run by Dionte Wiggins and a safety in the second quarter, but would not score again.
Wiggins finished the game with 188 yards on 27 carries in his first collegiate start. The loss snapped a five-game Butler winning streak.
Jacksonville’s Rudell Small had 17 carries for 95 yards, including 12-yard touchdown.
