STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP)— Dayne Hoffman’s 23-yard touchdown pass to Adrian Sawyer with 1:06 left in the fourth quarter lifted Stony Brook to a 20-19 victory over Charleston Southern on Saturday night.
Hoffman was 17-for-31 for 210 yards to help the Patriots (2-5, 1-1 Big South) end a five-game losing streak.
Gerald Stevenson caught three TDs of 30, 19, and 39 yards for the Bucs (3-4, 1-1).
John Paglia missed two extra points for Charleston Southern.
