Jacksonville St. beats SE Missouri 38-17

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP)—Ryan Perrilloux threw for 239 yards and two touchdowns to lead Jacksonville State to a 38-17 win over Southeast Missouri 38-17 on Saturday night.

Perrilloux, who was 16 of 22 passing, had an interception for the Gamecocks (4-1, 2-0 Ohio Valley Conference).

Brandon George added 114 rushing yards and a touchdown on 11 carries for Jacksonville State.

Houston Lillard completed 18 of 37 passes for 212 yards with one touchdown and one interception for the Redhawks (2-4, 0-2).

Jacksonville State’s Brandon George opened the scoring with a 59-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter, and Perrilloux connected with Eric Johns on a 7-yard pass and Maurice Dupree on a 41-yard pass to put the Gamecocks up 21-3 at halftime.

Dupree added a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to open the second half, and Gavin Hallford made a 37-yard field goal to give the Gamecocks a 31-3 lead in the third.

Fourth-quarter touchdown passes by Lillard and backup quarterback Matt Scheible would not be enough to get the Redhawks back in the game.

Dupree finished the game with 92 yards and one touchdown on three receptions, and added 182 total kick return yards and a touchdown for Jacksonville State.
