NORFOLK, Va. (AP)—Wesley Taylor kicked a 42-yard field goal in overtime to give Florida A&M a 36-33 win over Norfolk State on Saturday, securing a 9-0 record in the series between the schools.
Taylor’s winning kick was his fourth of the game and came just minutes after teammate Ernest Williams blocked Norfolk State’s 50-yard FG attempt.
Albert Chester made a TD run late in the fourth for the Rattlers (2-2, 4-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) and threw to Kiser for the two-point conversion to tie the game 33-all and send it into overtime.
Chester was 14-for-24 with 266 yards, including one TD pass, and one interception. Hansen was 14-for-27 for 218 yards for the Spartans, who have now lost three straight.
