NORFOLK, Va. (AP)—Daryl Jones rushed for two touchdowns as Norfolk State picked up its first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference win of the season in a 42-20 win over North Carolina A&T on Saturday.
Rashad Howard put the Spartans (3-1, 1-1) on the board in the first quarter on a 55-yard punt return. Jones added a 9-yard run in the first and a 1-yard run in the second to put Norfolk State up 21-0.
Derrick Baker, Monte Anthony and DeAngelo Branche also scored for the Spartans, who have lost 10 of 12 games in the series.
Casey Hansen threw for two touchdowns and finished 11-for-17 with 287 yards and one interception for Norfolk State.
Wayne Campbell threw two touchdowns and went 20-for-31 with 219 yards and one interception for the Aggies (0-4, 0-2), who have been outscored 179-55 this season.
