Jimmy Clausen reportedly punched by angry fan
Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen was reportedly punched in the face by an angry fan outside a South Bend restaurant according to a person briefed by the incident.
ESPN.com is reporting that Clausen was "sucker-punched" Sunday morning and has a swollen eye. He is not expected to miss any time because of the injury. According to the Chicago Tribune, no police report has been filed yet.
Clausen was reportedly out with family members and teammates after Notre Dame’s Senior Day loss to Connecticut on Saturday. The fan who punched Clausen allegedly said something to Clausen and/or a female acquantaince of his before throwing the punch.
