Arkansas offensive coordinator/receivers coach Paul Petrino interviewed for the Western Kentucky job, Rivals.com has learned.

Petrino is the younger brother of Razorbacks coach Bobby. Paul has helped develop some prolific offenses under his brother at Arkansas and Louisville. Last year, Arkansas set school record for passing yards (3,115).

Petrino was the offensive coordinator at Louisville (2003-06) and the receivers coach for the Atlanta Falcons (2007).

Western Kentucky, a member of the Sun Belt, is looking for a replacement for David Elson, who was fired after seven seasons.

Others believed to be involved are Stanford running backs coach Willie Taggart, Chicago Bears receivers coach Darryl Drake and Alabama offensive coordinator Jim McElwain.
