Projected bracket | Last week's bracket | Terry's Sweet 16

It's the second week of our Bracket Buster, and the playing field is looking a whole lot different the second time around. It makes a big difference when four top-10 teams lose. With three weeks of the regular season left, there still is plenty of time for even more changes to come.

As you may have noticed, I have changed the bowls around from last week and selected a few new ones. I figure the main Bowl Championship Series-level bowls always will be part of the format, but if we opened it up for bidding – and how else can you maximize the revenue stream – who knows which bowls would ante up to the table?

I also have included a few upsets in this week's Bracket Buster just to show you the possibilities of how much fun it could be. I mean an Arkansas-Notre Dame championship – no one ever would have expected that.

The biggest problem I still am trying to figure out is how the conferences are going to share in the revenues. The only way the BCS was formed in the first place was by promising each of the major conferences that they would be guaranteed a piece of the revenue pie. Somehow, this arrangement will need to be maintained to get all of the big-boy teams to buy into the system.

Please feel free to email me if you have any suggestions as to how we can make this work, and I'll try to incorporate some of your ideas into a column in the next couple of weeks.

By the way, I noticed that Florida head coach Urban Meyer has jumped on the playoff bandwagon. That list now includes Mack Brown, Pete Carroll, Lloyd Carr, Steve Spurrier, Charlie Weis and an on-the-fence Bob Stoops – along with a whole bunch more.

I'm beginning to think it's just a matter of time.

With that in mind, here is week two of Yahoo! Sports' College Football Playoff, featuring the top eight teams in this week's BCS standings. Do you like the semifinal rematches, with Notre Dame facing Ohio State on Jan. 1 for the second straight year and Arkansas getting another chance against the team that handed the Razorbacks their only loss?
