BATON ROUGE - LSU running back Charles Scott will miss the remainder of the regular season after fracturing his clavicle in Saturday’s game against Alabama.

Scott, a senior from Saline, La., was injured on a 34-yard run late in the third quarter against the Crimson Tide. Scott finished the Alabama contest with 83 yards rushing on 13 attempts.

Scott, who leads the Tigers with 542 rushing yards and four touchdowns this year, is the sixth leading rusher in LSU history with 2,317 yards.

LSU, now 7-2 overall and ranked No. 8 in the latest Bowl Championship Series standings, returns to action on Saturday at 6 p.m. when they host Louisiana Tech in Tiger Stadium for Homecoming.
