University of North Carolina tailback Shaun Draughn fractured his left shoulder blade (scapula) on the first play from scrimmage in Carolina’s 19-6 victory over Duke Saturday afternoon and will miss the remainder of the season.

A native of Tarboro, N.C., Draughn started all nine games this season and is Carolina’s leading rusher with 567 yards on 124 carries.

He ranks seventh in the Atlantic Coast Conference with 63.0 yards per game.
