USC tailbacks McKnight, Bradford sit out practice

  • Print

LOS ANGELES (AP)—Tailbacks Joe McKnight and Allen Bradford are sitting out most of Southern California’s practice to rest injuries.

The 12th-ranked Trojans’ top two ball carriers both were limited to minor work during practice Tuesday. Both still hope to play at Arizona State on Saturday.

McKnight has a sore ankle and pain behind his right knee perhaps related to his hamstring. He leads the Trojans with 712 yards rushing and seven touchdowns.

Bradford has a sore right knee. He has 397 yards rushing and four TDs, averaging 7 yards per carry.

C.J. Gable got most of the work with the Trojans’ first-team offense Tuesday.

Linebacker Chris Galippo and receiver Ronald Johnson returned to practice after missing Monday’s workouts.

Oh no! CJ Gable has been terrible on special teams this year....Curtis McNeal too. Can we trade CJ to Florida for Emanuel Moody?

Why is USC still a story? After the butt whipping they took Sat, the West Coast press is still trying to get them into a BCS game. Who the heck wants to watch a team that was beaten by an 18 point underdog in Washington and taken to the woodshed by Org in a BCS bowl game?

Trojans need to regroup and simplify things. The defense has become too complicated for the younger players and they seem to be thinking too much instead of reacting and making plays. It happened all game against Oregon where you could see the Trojan D waiting on plays and getting burned. The offense seems to be coming together alright they just need to get the entire team on the same page and playing consistent. If the Trojans pull it together and run the table it wouldn't shock me at all if they still made a BCS game. I'm not saying they should but when it comes to the BCS the bigger the names the more money. The hopes of an 8th straight PAC-10 championship are all but gone but they can still keep their streak alive of 7 straight seasons will at least 11 wins......which is incredible......Fight on!!!

fordadux - im calm, I just cant help myself when people post what #2 had. People like him bring the a$$hole out of me. I was way hung over this morning until I read that, he gave me a shot of life. I understand people's love for their team (Im a self-admitted fanatic), but I would never threaten people and give my personal information away, plus, i'd definitely atleast fly people to Austin so I could "serve them."

Post #2 Are you telling us that Matt Barkley is experienced ? He is a true freshman, talented yes, experienced no. You say you are connected. Who cares if you are connected to a bent over Pete Carrol or are you the one bent over? As for you size you sound like a fisherman that talks about the big one he lost.

AJ Barton - also, are you illiterate? I hate to make fun of people who didn't take their education seriously, but dude, you write English like its your 6th language, taking into account you can't speak the first 5 very well either. Stop embarrassing your USC people, I was under the impression the school gave a good education. Guess all the beer bongs and roofies you passed out didn't allow for much class time. Oh well, you're funny, guess thats something.

It's the grade, they didn't have the grade point to go to the game. Again, the 2.3 avg. those players get. Come on Pete, tell the truth.
