Florida and Alabama are the two best teams in the country. Although Alabama played a tougher schedule, in my mind Florida deserves the number one ranking in the country based on the fact that they are the reigning champions and have remained undefeated. There is no way that Texas, TCU, or Cincinnati would have survived a brutal SEC schedule. The SEC Championship Game will once decide the National Champions!

I just wrote an email to Yahoo for them to look at this article, as there is no comments purtaining to the story, just a lot of people cutting each other down and telling their views of the Civil War...nothing really about the Florida LB Jones out with injury and Hicks will fill in for him...instead Gator haters have turned on each other.......I told Yahoo to block everyone from this site that is commenting now....I have already reported abuse to everyone using foul lanuage

It does state that 902 million figure. I did more research and found that the total was around 620,000. The first site that I visited was wrong. My American History teacher would be proud of me.

My main reason for stating these facts to rick z was to try and show him what a hurtfull and wastefull war this was. rick z seems to delight in making people from the South and SEC mad. At first I tried to reason with him but he goes back to the same old trash talk. Anybody that can take delight from a senseless war is a sick person. As I stated, rick z will be one of those people that go postal in a high school. It is OK to bait people every now and then but he seems to get off by doing it.

It was started pretty much for the same reason the American Revolution started - taxation without representation. The Union politicians were passing unfair laws which were detrimental to Southern economics. Most of these same Northern politicians were slave holders themselves. If the war had been fought totally on the issue of slavery, Lincoln (whose family owned a slave) would have signed the Emancipation Procamation in 1861 at the outbreak of the war, not on Jan 1, 1863 when the war was going badly for the Union and Lincoln viewed the free slaves as potential Union soldiers. But - this is a football site so I won't dwell on history any more!

Bad thing is, his mom does not know which one of us it was either. In addition, when he lived down here, he got his ass kicked on a weekly basis. So, when he finally grew up, he moved so he would not have to get the constant ass kickings, he became a self hating southerner and lives to degrade people from the south, all the while searching for his father who he thinks may be living in the states which are home to the SEC & parts of the Big 12 and parts of the ACC.
