Kelly will talk to players privately about ND

What kind of a person walks out on the players you recruited and have undefeated to go to Notre Dame? That isn't right. That is a religious person for you! Brian Kelly is a white-washed tomb!

Kelly came from a family of politicians, hell he wanted to be one. he certainly acted like one. he lied to the people who supported him, snuggled up to the catholics, and went for the money. he and notre dame are suited for each other. they deserve each other.

Kelly and Notre Dame are two of the biggest frauds in college football.

Probably the least know area in college recruiting is what schools do to get lower academic recruits into their schools... but without direct and inside knowledge of this, all we can do is speculate.

I do believe that NO ONE on this site has that knowledge.

It is safe to say that generally, a higher academic school has fewer potential prospects to choose from than those with lower standards.

And Notre Dame has very high standards. Are they on par with Michigan, Stanford, Cal, UCLA or Duke?

According to the US News and World Report August 19,2009 - maybe. THis was a (debatable) best schools in the WORLD.

Notre Dame is right in the mix...

So how do Texas and USC do it? AGAIN, the only thing we don't know is what we don't know - how much schools bend the rules to get a recruit admitted?

With a 2010 schedule that includes likely losses to Michigan, Pitt, BC, Stanford and USC, Mr Kelly will have a rough time next year. 6-6 is probably best case. Hope you Domers are a patient lot because it will take him a while to get that disaster turned around.

Kelly has done a great job at Cincy...hate to see him leave...I'm sure he'll do great at ND..I just hope Cincy can pull another "Kelly" out of the hat...They've worked hard to have a good team there..

Do you know why ND gets so much attention, has a deal with a TV network, and has tons of cash? Just look at this post. No other school gets this much attention. They are the most popular and most hated team in the country.

Kelly and Rich Rod are one in the same. Rich told his kids at WVU he wasn't leaving and Kelly did the same with his bearcats. Kelly will not coach his kids in a BCS bowl and neither did Rich Rod. Bo Pellini coached before he exited for Nebraska. These big east guys I swear lol. Money talks. Didn't work out so good for Rod maybe ND fans will fare better.

Incredible! What's with all this asinine talk of ND relaxing academic standards to attract "better athletes"? What's wrong with demanding academic excellence? How about preparing these kids to excel at the college level while they are still in high school. Academics in this country is dumbed down enough already so that idiots don't have their feelings hurt, now ND needs to make special academic concessions so they can steal a couple of players from Florida? Ridiculous. Notre Dame shouldn't lower academic requirements, colleges like Florida should raise theirs.
