CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP)—Southern Illinois quarterback Chris Dieker is likely out for the rest of the season with a broken collarbone.

The team said Monday that Dieker, a junior, will be sidelined for six weeks. He was hurt Saturday in the Salukis’ 27-8 victory over Youngstown State.

The Salukis are 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Redshirt freshman Paul McIntosh of Evansville, Ind., will replace Dieker.
