SAN DIEGO (AP)—Nebraska offensive coordinator Shawn Watson says freshman quarterback Cody Green will get some playing time in the Holiday Bowl.

Watson says the staff is looking to the future and wants to evaluate Green in a game situation against a good team like Arizona.

Junior Zac Lee has been the starter for much of the season, but was replaced by Green for two games.

The Cornhuskers practiced for two hours Sunday morning at San Diego State University in preparation for Wednesday’s Holiday Bowl.
