Michigan State kicks 2 players off football team

I graduated from USC, served in the Navy and now live in Michigan where, because of the overwhelming UM media slant, I tend to follow UM football ((and I note with joy all three schools kicked ND's booty - - Bye Charlie)) - - this kind of off-field behavior should not be tolerated at ANY school - - one and out!! The on-field incident involving the UM player resulted in a game suspension - - I think a two and out rule (or even three and out) should apply to this kind of on-field behavior. Smith at MSU or Woodson at UM are the kinds of atheletes any school should covet. These guys exist and are the kind of guy that should be recruited. Ahh well - - just a few more weeks and we see BK at ND and a bunch of months before we see JH at UM.

Please just ignore fake Hawkeye fans that act like ass, our true fans are respectfull. On the note of the arrests, as being a hawk I know how much this sucks. Hopefully they can get it under control, though the fact that the athletes can't get some where and control themselves is shamefull. I know Iowa would have been a hell of a lot better the last couple of years had we not lost some of the players that we did. So just remember to still be respectfull even if some players do some stupid things. I still have much respect for the program and as you see with Iowa it is possible to get rid of certain players and to build yourself back up.

Going to a bowl with only 5 wins against divison 1 opponets is nothing to be proud off. I would not have been if Michigan made it to a bowl game. Try talking crap when your team actually wins something.

Look in the mirror for no class and an out of control locker room. I live in FLA and have met many Hawkeyes at Bowls, nice people, I don't judge all of them to be jerks because you are one. If you had a bad experience at a game (or on a message board) it doesn't mean everyone from that school sucks (unless your in Ann Arbor). But given the stupidity you've shown, I think it's likely you were acting like an a$$ and got spanked for it just as I am now verbally spanking you.

the article makes it sound like ray and anderson were dismissed for violating team rules, when they were just cut.
Oh, and U-M fans don't get too excited because of one bad apple. Winston should have been off the team already and Jenrette obviously needed to be dismissed as well.
At the end of the day, State has won 2 years in a row and while no one here is proud of a 6-6 season, we'll take it with a sophomore starting at Qb and true freshmen at running back. Besides, it beats sitting home for a bowl two years in a row :)
You guys are just upset that you're not better at the only sport you used to be better than us in.

My post was that this move was overdue and showed some class which prior MSU coaches haven't shown... He gave these guys a second chance, but acted quickly when there was another problem.

He deserves to be ripped, Winston got out of jail, went right back to football practice and now has been suspended. Why did he leave jail and go right back to football practice? Because Dantonio thought he would help MSU win some games. Don't pretend he has more class than Rich Rod, they are both rather sleazy people!
