Juice Williams leaves game against Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS (AP)—Illinois quarterback Juice Williams left the game against Minnesota with an apparent left leg injury.

Williams was injured in the first quarter on Saturday when he fumbled on a running play. He limped off the field and appeared to be favoring his left leg, but there was no immediate word on the nature of his injury.

Freshman Jacob Charest replaced Williams at quarterback on the Illini’s next possession.

Williams threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Cumberland on the team’s opening possession before getting hurt. It’s been a tough season for the senior, who finally had a good game last week in a victory over Michigan.

A win is a win. Juice is a tough player, he will be back playing this season. This win is a testament to the new attitude of this team, no one player wins it or loses it. Juice was efficient before he left, Charest came in and did the same. Watch out skeptics, this seasons not over yet!
