Idaho State rolls past Black Hills State 38-5
POCATELLO, Idaho (AP)—Xavier Finney rushed for two touchdowns to lead Idaho State to a 38-5 non-conference victory over Black Hills State on Saturday.
Idaho State (1-1) started slowly and trailed 2-0 midway through the first half after the Yellow Jackets of the Division II Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference got a safety following a holding call in the end zone.
Yost completed 41 passes in 58 attempts and was not intercepted. Backup C.J. Reyes was 9-of-11 for 74 yards, giving the Bengals 498 passing yards. They added 128 yards on the ground for 626 yards total offense.
Black Hills State (0-1) finished with 198 yards total offense.
