Joe shall return:
University President Graham Spanier and Athletic Director Tim Curley announced today an agreement that will provide for the opportunity of Coach Joe Paterno leading the football program through the 2011 season. It was also agreed that the parties might re-evaluate their circumstances and alter the arrangement by either shortening or extending its length as necessary.
Long live Joe. He will see us all to our graves. Now don't you have a Rose Bowl plan to review, son?

And his bowl record isn't too bad either.

When the hell has Texas ever been in violation of NCAA rules?

First of all, you obviously aren't aware of Penn State's overall bowl record of 26-12-2 (40 appearances in 86 years - not including this year's Rose Bowl)
I'd assume you also don't realize their bowl record with Paterno at the helm is 23-10-1 (34 appearances in 42 years, also excluding this year)
So, it's not much of a stretch to think that you are unaware that EVERY GRADUATING CLASS that has EVER played under Joe Paterno has been to at least one bowl game during their 4 years at the school - and most have played 2 or more. And they have a .646 percentage in the bowls to boot.
Bear Bryant was damned good. Bowden is great. Joe Paterno, is THE legend.
Penn State sucks? Hardly.

But with this, that means that Bowden will continue to coach as well. Don't think for a minute they both want to outlast the other. Somehow, I wish JoePa would hang it up, Bowden would coach one more year, get the record, then both of them would retire and enjoy life in their 80's.

Also, his coaching style is great too. He is all about team and no individualism. He never put names on the jerseys and sits players for showing off. Not many coaches do this anymore.
