You may have heard a lot about Kaleb Eulls this week. He's the four-star recruit and Mississippi State commit with offers from half the SEC who tackled a girl waving a loaded gun on his school bus. His story's flown around the Web, and he was a guest this morning on NBC's "Today," where we get the first good picture of the altercation via the bus's security camera:
The Yazoo County defensive end credits his reflexes and fast thinking for the safe and speedy resolution:
"I just tried to talk to her and calm her down," said the 6-foot-4, 255-pound Eulls. "She was just getting louder and louder. I guess for a quick second she looked out the window and when she did that I just sprung at her. I just knocked her down and got the gun away from her. When I got the gun I ran out the back door and disarmed it."
"I was just scared for the younger kids and my family that was on the bus," Eulls said. "I was just thinking things out step-by-step as quickly as I could. After we got to the school and watched the tape I just sat there thinking 'what in the world did I just do?"
What he did was allow the 22 people on that bus, three of them his sisters, to go on to school unharmed. A morning coffee toast to Kaleb Eulls, and best of luck to Yazoo County's football team this Friday night.

I can only hope that if we are faced with danger such as you were, we will be able to be as brave as you.
