Now you have to wonder why Florida went up so much in the polls with the win over LSU. Other than Georgia, has Florida played a team that will be ranked?

Talking about FCS teams...how about Texas Tech's big wins over Eastern Washington and Massachuetts or Oklahoma's win over Chattannoga. All of the BCS top twelve except for Alabama, Texas and USC will have played a FCS team by the end of the season. As for Florida going up in the polls, many of the teams they played "were" ranked before Florida beat them. The SEC "eats" it's own...

Get out of here.. Florida? They lost to Ole Miss at Home !! That's all I'm going to say... I'm a fan of all college football but a Longhorn no doubt !!! And the only teams that have a valid point to say they are #1 and #2 are Tech and Texas.. And Texas has played the toughest stretch of games by far than any other team in the nation !!! Tech is a good team but they got lucky against Texas.. They caught Texas at home and barely survived that one with a few of Texas good starting players out.. Florida and the SEC not this year !!! SEC is over rated this year.. LSU is not that good, should have lost to troy.. Alabama has squeak by some bad teams.. kentucky and another team but don't know who it was cuz apparently it wasn't a good team.. SEC is a joke this year.. In most cases they are the best conference top to bottom every year but sorry not this year.. If florida at home can't beat ole miss with a new coach and a new QB that transfered from where? Tx !!! then they don't deserve to get into the Big Game !!! Florida's Heisman Timmy T is the only reason the gators are even still being talked about due to him winning it last year..

Florida is the only offensive productive team in the SEC..All the other teams are built on defense and you can see that when you watch the SEC games.. The defenses are better than the offenses in that conference..That conference isn't producing good QBs..Lsu? no..Ala? no Bulldogs? no Florida? yes Ol ball coach? Hick no....Florida come to the Big 12 and you'll see that Timmy T running and throwing to wide open receivers is a no no when it comes to Top Notch Big 12 teams.. Florida hasn't impressed me at all this year started with the LOST TO OLE MISS At HOME !!!!

Texas and Tech aren't ohio state and if you knew football you could see that!! Florida has No Bite this year !!! Big 12 got QBs and that's what will win you games.. Has Texas ever lost a Bowl Game in last 5 or 6 yrs.. NO !!! And Texas is about to be number #2 in all - time wins !!! Ask ohio state what? Weve beatn the breaks off of ohio stae and usc in the past 5 yrs in big bowl games.. Remember Texas beat USC when reggie and lion heart ran college football !! Where was florida?

When everybody was scared of USC and ohio state couple of years back Texas wanted to play em because we are Texas? put Texas against florida in a bowl game and texas will walk all over Florida.. Get out of here gators!!!

Tech had no penalities the whole game.. get out of here.. and everybody knows that Tech is good but still a fluke !!! What is the record in the series between Tech and Texas? Not even close !!! So Tech fans you better take that lucky win and trick your mind into thinkn Tech is really better than Texas.. The impressive thing about Florida's run recently is that they are putting up 50 a game against very strong defenses. Four of their last six opponents were in the top ten in defense when Florida played them (but not afterward, of course).

The SEC has the best defense in College Footbal and Florida gashes them repeatedly. Texas Tech's offense consists of short passes and it works very well in the big 12 where defense is non existent. It would simply be ineffective against the speed of FL defense.
Remember when OSU was favored to beat FL by over 70% of the US? What was the final stat, something around what 87 total yards of offense?
This FL team is leaps and bounds better than that one. Look for FL to continue to dominate. They just put up 346 on the ground against the #2 run defense. No one in the country has an answer for their offense and they have the most underrated denfense in the country. There is just no answer for speed and FL has it on offense, defense and special teams. The foundation of College Football is going to change within the next few years as teams will be recruiting with an emphasis on speed. Everyone is fast in the NFL but speed in college gives you a distinct advantage on both sides of the field.

Texas Tech seems to have a strong supporter in cainmark02003. That's nice. But when he talks about Florida playing Citadel next week he seems to forget that two of Texas Tech's wins earlier this season were over two (powerhouses?)...Eastern Washington and Massachusetts. That's two wins over Championship Division teams. With the BCS "formula" no longer allowing for margin of victory, Florida's run of six straight wins against SEC opponents (three of them in the BCS top 25 on the day of the game) by a margin of almost 40 points (totals of 299-63) doesn't get taken into account.
