It's hard to spin much drama out of this: Virginia Tech remains one of the few first-rate outfits in the ACC, and North Carolina's once-promising season threatens to spin out of control with a fourth straight conference loss. One thing we should know by now, though, about Thursday night games: Never discount a desperate team, especially one with a defense.

Why: Because dropping strategic bombs filled with snark and satire on earnest adolescents never gets old, especially when there's a chance the game will devolve into a one-sided WWE match, with the crowd groaning lustily along with every body slam. Football!
