Tebow girl is back, in Tebow bodypaint. (Deep breaths, dude)

Of the many, many upstanding young women who have gracefully (and chastely, of course) appeared in the coveted role of "Tebow arm candy" over the years, one in particular -- you know the one, the one who definitely is not British supermodel Lucy Pinder but is close enough to cause confusion -- has, let's say, stood out from the others. So much so, according to Sports by Brooks, that she'll be showing up soon in Playboy. In Tebow body paint.

As with all matters relating to that particular publication, we can assume the Tebow Child does not approve -- and also that Hugh Hefner will be receiving a cease and desist letter from Florida any day now. Thou shalt not use Tebow's likeness in service of lust, or without the express written consent of the University of Florida and the NCAA.

For the record, the girl, Erin Drewes is not Tebow's girlfriend, never was and insists the original photo was photoshopped. Reality never lives up to the legend.

    And please, plug him in right away in the NFL. I long for the day!

    Like Travis, I despise Tebow, with every single fiber of my being... which is exactly why I checked out the nsfw versions of those photos, cause I know Senor Holier-Than-Thou does not approve. Last time I checked, that God he believes in made that body, and to quote the book he lives his life by, "And He saw that it was good."

    It's not Tebow's fault, the Media has a crush on him & they have blown him up to this perfect person & it will only be a matter of time before they turn on him. Thats what they do. I'm not a fan of Florida or Tebow, but I never met the guy & I'm sure you guys havn't either, I just want to know how you can have that much hate for a cat you don't know?

    cease and desist letter nothing. Tebow and UF should go straight to court. There's about a 99% chance the judge will enjoin Playboy from publishing any copies using his name or their logo/jersey. This is pretty obviously illegal - just ask your resident counsel Chris Brown. ;)
    It's a little ironic, as Playboy is well known for being one of the most litigious companies out there regarding any unauthorized use of the playboy name, the word playmate, or the bunny symbol. I guess the rules only apply one way in their mind.

    "Illegal" implies criminality, which this is not. But it IS a trademark infringement, not of Tebow, but of the University of Florida. The consequences will be civil, not criminal.

    There is absolutely no trademark infringement you idiots. Do you see "Florida" anywhere on the picture? No. And that "gator" was photoshopped in so you couldn't see her nipple. If they honestly went to court, the Judge would laugh his @$$ off and then tell them to go away.
    Yes it has Tebow's name on the back, but the fact remains that TECHNICALLY there is nothing wrong with the picture. And in court, technicalities rule all.
    Also, I'm also not a fan of Tebow. But mostly because the media won't shut up about him, so maybe I'm just not a fan of the media who keeps talking about the uninteresting dolt. But whatever.
    It's also really annoying to listen to him give interviews cuz of all the God stuff he spews out. I don't have problems with religious people, but I always hate when athletes praise Jesus for their actions on the field. I mean really, God wasn't the one who spent all those hours in the weight room and the film room, he didn't make you catch that football.

    well if what tebow say's is true (insert cough cough BS, BS, BS, i.e. animal house), he hasn't had any poon then he must beat it - AAAA LOT. not that there's anything wrong w/beating it. i'm cool w/having the value's, & all. but to me it spell's RED FLAG. if that's somehow vague then let me elaborate.     YOU are the idiot. That is an obvious attempt to mimic a REAL Florida player, in uniform, while he is on the active roster, FOR PROFIT. A first-year law student would know this, so go blab about something you know about, like maybe binge drinking or cooking french fries.

    "Illegal" to me simply implies "against the law," civil or criminal. Obviously this is a civil matter. And you're correct that Tebow has no trademark rights at stake here, but he does have a right to control commercial use of his name or likeness-- which this clearly is.
