Rattling Terrelle Pryor

Already, some pundits are hyping Terrelle Pryor as Ohio State's best player, but the freshman has never started on the road and faces one of the most hostile environments in the Big Ten Saturday night. All eyes will be on the 18-year-old's composure as he tries to navigate the howling Mad House.

It really does not matter who the best player for Ohio state is. They are vastly over-rated !!!! They are and have always been a mediocre football program with a winning record because they are in an absolute terrible conference !!!! They would consistently rank 4th or 5th in the either the SEC or Big 12.

Scratch off number 3 - looks like they're going to have to do it without the band.

So what about him being on a social site. We are all grown so dont act like social sites aren't the latest fad right now. But back to business, TP is well coached, loves our defense, humble with humility, and starving to leave a legacy of success forever egded in a rich tradition.

#1: You might want to take a look at the Big Ten/SEC head-to-head record the Doc posted a couple days ago again ...

All of the above plus 100 that you forgot to mention. And for all of the SEC and Big 12 and Pac 10 fans. Great conferences with great schools. You might want to gander at Wisconsin' s record against those schools in Bowl games. 3 straight Rose Bowl wins, beat Arrkansas, Beat Auburn, should have beat Tenesee(dropped pass was the only thing that cost them that game) Narrowly lost to a Georgia team who arguably should have played for the National Championship. Don't be to general till you look at the record. Wisconsin is not OSU. Fact is if I never give you the ball, you won't score.

    OK !!!!
For all you BIG 10 retards out there, let me act as your personal retard whisperer and hopefully put you on the path to understanding.
First of all, Fishfootkb and spartandan have their SEC vs. BIG 10 facts completely wrong !!!!
Lets begin with Bowl games (SEC/BIG 10):
The SEC ended up 7-2 in the bowl games for 2007-- the best record of all the conferences and most bowl wins ever by one conference in a single year. The Big Ten ended up 3-5. I do give props to Michigan for pulling out a tough win against the gators - they could have beaten any team they played that day !!!!
Until LSU's national Championship victory over Ohio state, you Big Ten fans have been able to hang your hat on the argument that the Big Ten led the SEC in head to head match ups over the past five years.
While it is true that over the past five years, the Big Ten had an 8-7 lead over the SEC (after going 2-1 against the SEC in the 2006 bowls), the SEC leads the overall bowl match up against Big 10 schools with a record of 33-20 between 1930 -2007.
For the 2007 season, there were 3 SEC/BIG 10 Matchups:
LSU vs Ohio State -- BCS Championship Game
Tenessee vs Wisconsin -- Outback Bowl
Florida vs Michigan -- Capital One Bowl
The SEC took 2 of 3 (LSU and Tennessee) to move into a 9-9 tie with the Big Ten over the past 5 years. But, more significantly, the SEC Champ won its second straight head to head match-up with the Big Ten Champ in the games that mattered most -- the BCS NC games.
And, when you look at the bigger picture, the SEC is even more impressive.
Over the past two bowl seasons; the SEC is a cumulative 13-5; the Big Ten 5-10. And, interestingly, the Big Ten is 3-3 vs the SEC and 2-7 versus everyone else!
Overall, I would rank the Big 10 a distant #3 NCAA Division I college football conference – behind the SEC and Big 12. The Big Ten has great football tradition and their top programs are consistently decent(i.e. Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State). But, the second and third tier Big Ten schools just don’t match up to the SEC. This is not opinion, it's fact. For non-believers take your favorite BIG 10 school and look at their head to head match up's against most SEC teams !!!!
In any event, the bottom line is, of course, the overall BIG 10/SEC record -- You will find it is close, but fortunately, for SEC fans – dispositive.
So, here is the all-time, head-to-head, Big Ten vs SEC football record -current through the 2007 season:
    SEC over BIG 10: 65-46-2 for a winning % of .584.
This # is a fact based on true SEC vs. BIG 10 conference games. I am not including scores of matchups prior to teams joining their respective conferences. In addition if you go back to matchups prior to 1932, the Big 10 has a very slight edge, but after that date, the dominance of the SEC is clear.
    OK, I've rambled enough!!!!!

OSU and Wisconsin are both really good teams. I thought Wisconsin would win this one. PSU is undefeated. TP is good..not great. He;s still learning/maturing as a starting QB. The best QB's right now are all in the Big 12 and Sanchez of USC. But 1 guy doesn't make a team. there are 10 others on the field with him and to lose sight of that is well..ignorant and foolish. That's why Alabama is performing so well..they play as a team. The same can be said of Oklahoma. Texas will fall before too long. All the major conferences (minus Pac10) are doing well so enough of the comparisons already.
