I didn't watch the Fox broadcast -- more on my view of last night's game shortly -- but from the sound of things, Thom Brennaman and Charles Davis weren't watching it, either. Keep an eye on the two different on-screen graphics relaying the down and distance, kids, during this crucial moment on the goal line in the second quarter:
Even the New York Times trashes this sequence, and the broadcast in general, which is getting thoroughly bashed pretty much everywhere (though the Gray Lady gives Brennaman a break on his over-the-top Tebow tongue bath). It sounds like it was just a bad night all around for the talking heads. I'm so, so sorry I missed it.

Texas allowed 35 points against a FAR less skilled OU team than what FL faced. Ole Miss absolutely molested Texas Tech and keep hating but Ole Miss has a very good chance of coming out of the SEC next year (you have no clue though and it's obvious).
The top 2 teams in the nation played eachother and FL dominated. They held the #1 offense in NCAA history to 363 yards of total offense, 14 points, 2 int's and FL had over 10 minutes more posession time.
FL pwns everyone and the SEC owns all other conferences. Can you say DOMINANT?

Watching Tebow and his mannerisms, I don't see an innocent selfless person that wants nothing but good. I see a seemingly arrogant, self centered, angry and mean spirited man, who is focused on self gratification. As he may do alot of good with the missions and his religous showing, it wouldn't suprise me if some of it's not as deep as everyone makes it seem.
Yes this seems scathing, but the media perversion for him is over the top. Bradford and McCoy are both religious leaders on their campuses, but did we hear about any of that? Did we hear about how Bradford's success is starting a movement in the American Indian youth that gives them a view of possible accomplishments? No, this was all kept quiet, with articles about Simple Sam, opposed to articles about Tebow Larger than Life.
Tebow is not the greatest, Bradford is not the greatest, McCoy is not the greatest, but they are definately among some of the greatest.
This isn't limited to just the TebowLove, it was endless about Texas getting "screwed" out of the Big 12 championship, at least an entire half of the OU/OSU bedlam game was about Texas and how they deserved to be above OU, to the point of even having a phone conversation with Brown!
Lets have some actual UNBIASED and EDUCATED commentating/reporting. This biased hype is destroying exciting games.
Cut the crap guys, it's truely worse than anything the BCS could come up with to so called "destroy the game".
