Ohio State 42, Michigan 7. The Wolverines' season of woe is officially done at 3-9, 2-6 in the Big Ten, both program lows since about the middle of the Great Depression -- which, coincidentally, will be how Michigan forever defines 2008. Let the postmortems begin in earnest, and get those freshman quarterbacks on campus, pronto. Man, there is a long way to go.

Tressel must have been taking lessons from Bill Bilicheat, being up 42-7 with 10 minutes on the clock , Tressel, passes the ball. Very low class. The Buckeyes played 2 High School teams, and when they played real teams they lost. Very Very Low Class.

Now RichRod may claim that part of UM's problem is learning his offensive system, not having the right personnel, not having his own recruits, blah, blah, blah. Well, how does that explain getting stomped on defense over and over again? This guy is just full of excuses and always the first to point the finger at blame at someone else. In this case, maybe he is right because ultimately it is the ADs fault for hiring him.

Michgan's problems run much deeper than needing a QB. Facing decomittments, tansfers and what sems like half their fanbase questioning the hiring of Rich Rod, this year may not be an anomaly but a trend. Five losses in a row to OSU! ........ Another bad trend

when you have two quarterbacks in my opinion aren't even div 1 players trying to lead michigan is a joke steve threet happens to my hometown of adrian and he wouldn't even start for adrian colleges football team. the kid from saline ain't any better. you can't play your defense that much in any football game and expect to win. it might be a good game if michigan and the detroit lions played each other. because they both suck.

    The idea is this:
You train the offense to score and the defense to stop offenses from scoring. If the Defense doesn't get it done, run up the score. If the offense can't get it done, continue shutting them down. Tressel did what he needed to do to get the win, even if it meant beating a terrible Michigan team.
NOTE TO ALL MICHIGAN FANS: MICHIGAN WILL RECOVER. I have seen big recoveries from other teams throught the nation before. Keep your heads high.

This Michigan team is the worst team I have ever seen. They can't play and their coach is worthless. After he leaves West Virginia and takes all of WV coaches - West Virginia still wins. The Michigan coach should be run out of town. I think many high school teams could have beat Michigan. The AC should be fired as well. I'm a Michigan graduate and season ticket holder, but that's going to change. No way am I going to pay to see this crap. Note to all Michigan fans this will just continue to happen year after year if the coach isn't sacked now. I mean take a look at the recruits he got so far. This must be Michigan's worst recruiting class in twenty years. I discussed.

I doubt you went to Michigan or hold season tickets considering your ignorance of college football. The coaches left and West Virginia still wins? First off, West Virginia is running the same system as they did last year with outstanding position players that RichRod recruited.
Second, West Virginia is having an incredibly disappointing year, not even winning the mediocre Big East, with many 'Eers fans calling for replacement Bill Stewart's head.
Third, I hope you do give up the tickets, considering the long waiting list of loyal fans that want your tickets, I would find it highly unlikely that you would be able to regain them when Michigan rises to prominence again within a matter of years.

Hey you don't know football WV ius in the big eats a worthless conference. I graduqated from Michigan in with a BBA in 1980 and have been a season ticket holder since I was a student. So shut your ignorant mouth. I don't have time for fouls. If my company performed as the Michigan staff did this year heads would roll. That you can beleive. My point being about WV is that anyone could have run that system get it? WV is have a better year as compared to Michigan. Also, doesn't it concern anyone that the best recruits in the state of Michigan have choosen to platy for Ohio State. Michigan will not rise to prominance because the Michigan coach can't recruit and the big name recruits don't want to go to a school that runs the spread offense. Also forget about the Rival 100 and any other college recruit forecaster. The people who make money off of college football see Michigan's incoming recruiting class as having no player that dominates in his position. I talking about sports gamblers. Also, RichRod recruited no outstanding players for WV. The players he did recruit are just outstanding in the Big East - no where else. You think this guy is all that. He didn't even bother to look into the schools traditions prior to taking the field this year. Any fool should know that a school playing football as long as Michigan would have many traditions that would be important to the identity of the school. However, RichRod just ignored the obvious.

scUM just plain SUX. tOSU is very fallible this year. Illinois blows CHUNX. Wisky is awful. If it were not for JoePa's boyz, the Big 10 would have to rename itself the Little 10, or maybe the Irrelevant 10. And PSU would only appear average against some of those monsters in the Big 12 or the SEC. It looks as though most of the conference picked the same time to get their periods. It might prove interesting if they all turned it around at the same time in the future, though, wouldn't it? I won't hold my breath...

You get this when you have a "system" coach who runs a new system. Rich Rod's problems also run much deeper. Players attacking coaches on the sidelines is evidence of that. They won't be back for awhile because players want to go to the NFL. Rich Rod's system will keep him from getting decent QB's, RB's, WR's.

BillK sees the light. Why would a good QB prospect who want a shot at the pros go to RichRod's system. You might as well play soccer. Why would a good wide receiver go there? To block for some so-called QB who couldn't get you the ball if there was noone else on the field? Don't think so. And good RBs should see that they end up playing second fiddle to the aforesaid QB who can't pass. Plus there is the character issue with RichRod. You see, at least Tressel at OSU is willing to develop Pryor into a complete player. The only thing RichRod wants to do is develop his wallet.
