Virginia Tech 30, Boston College 12. All year, we did the ACC Championship Roulette thing and laughed at the league that couldn't find its frontrunner. But we always knew it was Virginia Tech right? Of course it's Tech. It's always Tech.
And this was quintessential Tech: Tyrod Taylor threw for a measly 84 yards and Boston College outgained the Hokies 306 yards to 222. VT went three-and-out six times in the second half. But the Eagles were also forced to punt eight times, went three-and-out seven times and turned it over four more, while the Hokies ran more than 60 times for all of 2.6 per carry. That didn't sell any tickets today -- virtually none at all, from the looks of it on ABC's very careful, tightly-cropped coverage -- and won't sell many to the Orange Bowl (or wherever). With a third conference championship in three years, though, the stranglehold on the rest of the league just tightens a little more, ever so slightly.

Now, the ACC on the other hand, is another story.
