Georgia 52, LSU 38. This was a fitting scene: at the same time we witness the official funeral for LSU's defensive reputation -- yeah, there are issues at quarterback, but turnovers or not, that's 50 points and 400-plus yards allowed on a slew of big plays two of the last three weeks, this time at home -- we also witness the rebirth of Georgia's mythical championship ambitions.

Funny how Georgia and Florida both revived their seasons by running it up on the defending champs, and only fitting they get to go into the Cocktail Party on such similar high notes. Either both these teams are what we thought they'd be in the preseason, or LSU has completely collapsed, which is possible. Whatever, for now: It should be winner-take-all next week in Jacksonville, and so it is.

Oh, and about those pre-game phone calls? Knowshon says y'all can give him a ring any time. How do LSU fans feel about this? Not so good, actually. Not so good, and very willing to express it with an "angry fan on camera" classic:

digg delicious

Yeah the LSU defense sucked, but 14 of Georgia's points were on interception returns for TDs. That's "Life on the Margins" worthy right there.

4.0... actually only 10 points were...
    so yeah.
    and what a dumb argument.
"if lsu doesn't throw interceptions, the game is tied"
well if georgia doesnt get tackled .. the score is 332-43
it happened because UGA made it happen.

At what point are we allowed to think that LSU, and maybe (omgwtf!!!!1) the SEC isn't that amazing this year? Will i get burned at the stake for thinking that? Tell me, WWL!

the saving-face line for lsu is that the margin of victory is gamble's two pick-6s, but come on...the entire 4th quarter was garbage time. lsu scoring some cheapies when georgia's d was just kinda chillin with a few minutes left matters all of nothing.

well, this was a good game either way.uga looked like we thought they would.injury bug has hurt them more than anything this year as we got a young o-line and no size at all on d-line but solid everywhere else except maybe tight end.the cocktail party next week should be a good one.two fast undersized defenses.the number 1 and 2 qbs from same recruiting class.gamebreakers harvin versus moreno.both teams hitting stride at same time.and imagine florida wants to make up for our dancing in the end zone from last year.gonna be a great game.all i can say though is florida better hope to find some people to make plays in running game because percy will have 2 guys on him and 2 on tebow always.and unlike us,you dont have a aj green type out there to fall back on.gonna be a classic no matter what though.go dawgs!!!!sick em!!!!

If somehow pathetic USC gets into the BSC bowl game, I believe we should have a revolt in this nation. The biasness for that program has to stop. I would put the top four team in the SEC and the Big 12 against them any day and USC would lose. If they get in due to their preseason ranking, early season loss, easy schedule, and lame conference then something has to be done. Oklahoma State should be ranked above them. USC could barely beat Arizona - come on!

the big dogs, ruled rufffffff. lsu sucks. what goes up, must come down. lsu is overrated and this is it for them. they wont be in the hunt for nothing no more. so you garbage lsu fans get use to this because your party is over for years to come. just looked at the highlite reel above and what do i see a so loser lsu fan with his middle finger up at the world because lsu is getting there butts whipped. little losers. this is exactly what i am talking about abut lsu and saints fans can't take the good with the bad or the bad with the good. losing and winning is all part of sports. so if you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen.
because if it was'nt for skip bertman lsu would not be anything at this moment in time. do you all remember before skip bertman got there. don't think he has nothing to do with the success of lsu football lately.
he has all to do with the success of lsu football lately.

This was payback for last year when LSU jumped over Georgia in the polls. Understand that, yes LSU won the SEC Championship Game that Georgia didn't even play in and that was how LSU jumped over Georgia. Facts 2001 -2007 LSU has been in the thick of things in the NCAA, not this year baby.

LSU is headed down the same road Auburn and Tennesee are on. Hey guys! I think that's the "road to nowhere." Get better directions next time. Call Moreno or Tebow or Mt. Cody..just call...

this refs and lsu turnovers won this game for uga. uga is a good team and next week the cocktail party will be a good one. But the bottom line is the bs calls and no calls by the refs played a big factor in the game. Take away the bad refs and the turnovers the game goes down to the wire.

LSU seemed over matched again. Big disappointment. What happened to talk of Les Miles genius? Same as Phil Fulmer, Iguess. Very worried about the World's Largest Cocktail Party, though. Ga is cruising but FL looks SCARY GOOd. DAWGS D must play game of their lives and O-line must open holes early for KM and keep ball away from TT.

Take away the turnovers the game goes down to the wire? Yeah, and take away the Doolittle raid, Midway, Guadalcanal, the Philippines campaign, and those two A-bombs, and Japan totally won World War II.
