• Comings and going. Er, actually just goings. Georgia cornerback Asher Allen and Boise State receiver Jeremy Childs were the latest to enter the draft Tuesday, while Penn State defensive end Maurice Evans is reportedly considering following teammate Aaron Maybin -- who became an All-American in Evans' position when the 2007 Big Ten sack leader was suspended for a weed arrest in the preseason -- into the draft mix. But the jury remains out on a few big names, notably C.J. Spiller, who is "going back and forth" but seems likely to return to Clemson, and Mark Sanchez, who teammate Taylor Mays described as 'torn'. At least Mays has a backup plan if Sanchez decides to go.
Meanwhile, College Football Talk has a line on an unlikely source for the rumor that LeSean McCoy is being pressured by his family to leave Pitt. A rumor about a rumor about a fairly routine story is just a little too far removed for me, thanks. Everyone has to live with his decision by Thursday.
• Harbaugh's not going anywhere, this time. Jim Harbaugh, the source of much speculation over the last week on the heels of reports that he's already interviewed with the Jets and could be in the sights of the Raiders and/or Lions as well, said in a statement Tuesday he is "100 percent committed" to Stanford and has "no desire to coach anywhere besides Stanford at this time." That three-year contract extension through 2014? It's still on the table, though Harbaugh's agent said the coach is "very close" to signing the thing; presumably, that would end this round of flirtation, but you never know these days. Harbaugh's statement didn't address the pro jobs in any capacity, and he seems a likely candidate for annual speculation as long as the Cardinal are heading in the right direction.
• Who would have thought a 4 a.m. wrestling match among grown men could go wrong? I wasn't really expecting anything to come out of the big coaches' convention in Nashville this week, save maybe a few assistant coach hires, but obviously I underestimated the daredevil assistants of Westminster College:
Two assistant coaches apparently wrestling with each other fell through a hotel window Tuesday morning and fell four stories to a concrete sidewalk, leaving one in serious condition.
The American Football Coaches Association is holding its annual convention at the Opryland Hotel, and hotel security had been called around 4:10 a.m. with a noise complaint when officers found a broken window and Scott Coy and Darren DeMeio outside on the ground below.
Read the coaches' bios here. Coy is by far the bigger of the two, at 300 pounds, but is the one in critical condition. Both were in the hospital as of Tuesday afternoon.
Quickly ... Tennessee boss Lane Kiffin and his ever popular wife, Layla (right, with the couple's two daughters in their heady Raider days), are parents for the third time. The new one is named for the Vols' defensive coordinator. ... As expected, All-Big East receiver Mike Williams, Syracuse's lone offensive hope in 2007 before an academic suspension last year, has reenrolled at Cuse. USC refugee Vidal Hazelton might be joining the Orange, as well, but has not enrolled. ... Speaking of USC, cornerback Josh Pinkard apparently has received a sixth year of eligibility, and Pete Carroll has hired a full-time special teams coach. ... The American Cancer Society is among cancer groups hoping to stage a third bowl in Orlando, called the "Bowl for a Cure." That sounds awfully hard to make fun of, no matter who's playing in it. ... Marquel Blackwell, South Florida's first starting quarterback in I-A, was fired as head coach of a Florida high school team after a DUI arrest. ... Phil Fulmer suggests he might coach again, somewhere down the line. ... And poor Jorvorskie Lane has finally eaten himself out of a draft position, unless someone's in the market for a 300-pound short-yardage back who takes it personally.

McCoy? What in the world is HE staying for? To be the only legitimate offensive option on a team whose best case scenario - and I mean "best case" - is to play in a poorly-regarded BCS option? I get wanting to be the "big man on campus" for another year, but dude is a running back. Running backs, as much as any position, are susceptible to being one hit from catastrophic injury. (see McGahee, WIllis, who's been good in the NFL but nowhere near the player he could've been before he got hurt)
I am completely flabbergasted that McCoy is even thinking about staying. This is one of those cases where the family's right, yo.
