Following the school's first postseason appearance in six years, Heath Schroyer has a contract extension, as well as a couple of new players.
Schroyer, who led the Cowboys to a 19-14 record and an appearance in the College Basketball Invitational in his second season as coach, received two more years on his contract, good through the 2013-14 season.
He loses seniors Brandon Ewing, Sean Ogirri and Tyson Johnson, who combined to account for 61.5 percent of the Cowboy's points and 71.4 percent of their assists. Ewing was a three-time Mountain West scoring champion and is the second-leading scorer in school and conference history.
Wyoming will have a young team next season, with only one senior and one junior on the roster. ...More |
