Jason Bohannon and Wisconsin went outside the arc to take down Maryland. Bohannon scored 20 points and Jon Leuer added 16, leading the Badgers to a 78-69 victory over No. 21 Maryland in the third-place game of the Maui Invitational on Wednesday at the Lahaina Civic Center. Trevon Hughes had 14 points for the Badgers (4-1), who made 10 of 22 3-pointers, including four by Bohannon.

Steven Gray scored 15 points, Robert Sacre 13 and Elias Harris 12 for Gonzaga (4-1), which will meet Cincinnati in Wednesday night's championship.

Trevon Hughes scored 24 points and Keaton Nankivil had a pair of crucial dunks in the final 90 seconds to lead Wisconsin to a 65-61 win over Arizona in the first round of the Maui Invitational on Monday night. Wisconsin (3-0) broke away from a 55-55 tie in the final 2 1/2 minutes, starting with a pair of free throws from Hughes with 2:02 to play.

Trevon Hughes scored 15 points Wednesday night in Wisconsin's 58-42 victory over Oakland, Mich. It was the final tuneup before the Badgers (2-0) head to the Maui Invitational next week, starting with a game Monday against Arizona. The Golden Grizzlies were the preseason favorite to win the Summit League, but they dropped to 0-2 largely because they have yet to find their shooting touch.

Jon Leuer scored 19 points and blocked a career-high four shots as Wisconsin beat Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne 75-46 Sunday in the season opener for both teams. IPFW was short-handed due to injury, illness and suspension, and it showed. The Badgers were in control early and put an exclamation point on the first half with a 15-4 run to close out the period.
