As the season winds down, this year's Hokies are a lot like the Kansas City Royals—an inexperienced team without much to play for except to improve and try to spoil someone's dreams.
While it can't exactly ruin Duke's year Saturday in Cameron Indoor Stadium, Virginia Tech can at least try to hurt the Blue Devils' chances of earning a No. 1 seed for next month's NCAA Tournament. It would be a heck of a consolation prize after a bitter defeat against in-state rival Virginia on Tuesday night.
