Utah State loses the centerpiece from its 30-win season—WAC Player of the Year Gary Wilkinson—but there have also been some minor roster changes.

Reserve shooting guard Stavon Williams left the team after averaging 6.0 points and 18.3 minutes per game. He was the team's best 3-point shooter, hitting 46 of 108 attempts (42.6 percent). Also, guard Dominique Cooks, who redshirted as a freshman, will not be returning. Other departures were still possible as of mid-June.

But the core of the team—minus the versatile post Wilkinson, of course—is in place, led by senior point guard Jared Quayle, who earned second-team All-WAC honors in his first season in the program.
