Following the success of his two seasons at Utah, coach Jim Boylen was drawing some interest from bigger programs in the offseason. But the Utes are doing what they can to make sure he stays around for a while.

Boylen, who led Utah to a No. 5 seed in last season's NCAA Tournament, signed a new five-year deal in May. The contract will pay him $850,000 per year, and, with bonuses, as much as $1 million.

Boylen is 42-25 in two seasons at Utah, which had suffered two consecutive losing seasons before he was hired. His name was linked to the Arizona opening in April before the Wildcats nabbed Xavier coach Sean Miller.
