He is almost the forgotten man in USC's starting lineup.
But the NBA certainly hasn't overlooked senior small forward Marcus Johnson.
"I hear from NBA guys all the time, scouts and GMs," USC coach Kevin O'Neill said. "But people are talking more about Marcus now than they ever have." The 6-foot-6 Johnson, averaging 10.0 points and 4.7 rebounds after the win over Stanford, is a high-flyer who acknowledges, "I'm very athletic, and I love to dunk." But he earns his keep with a relentless defensive approach that has gained the notice of scouts and opponents.
