      <description><![CDATA[ <p><p>In a conference loaded with a preseason No. 1 national pick (Kansas), perhaps the nation's best recruiting class (Texas) and teams that carried players chosen as the best in the country the last two seasons (Oklahoma, Kansas State), Texas Tech can still point to a shining moment when hoping for a breakthrough season.</p>
<p>For one night at the Big 12 Tournament, Mike Singletary was the man. So much so, his performance against Texas A&M was the most electrifying in the conference last season.</p>
<p>Singletary, a 6-6 junior forward, scored 43 points, including 29 in a row, to lead a monumental comeback, though the Red Raiders finished only 14-19 overall.
