The Spartans seemed to be on the verge of a breakthrough last season, but took only baby steps and not the great leap forward.</p> <p>Were the Spartans just not that good? Was it too soon? Or can last season's disappointment be chalked up to too many injuries to too many players?</p> Point guard Justin Graham battled through a wrist injury last season, center C.J. Webster and forward Tim Pierce were limited at times because of ankle problems, and star transfer guard Adrian Oliver couldn't score 20 every time out because of knee and ankle issues. But he did prove to be an elite WAC player after transferring from Washington.</p> <p>All of those guys, expect for Pierce, are back, forming the foundation of what could be a strong team a season after...
