San Diego State is ready to unleash a large and talented recruiting class in the 2009-10 season, and that group apparently will include junior college star Malcolm Thomas.
Thomas was diverted to San Diego City College last season after transferring from Pepperdine because he wasn't academically eligible. He then declared for the NBA draft in late April, but didn't hire an agent and withdrew with several days to spare.
Thomas was still working in summer school, but SDSU coach Steve Fisher told the San Diego Union-Tribune that Thomas was on track to be eligible for the fall semester.
