Spiders coach and former Princeton standout Chris Mooney, is poised to let it rip in Richmond this season with an athletic team that no longer has to get by on smarts and guile.
Not that this Richmond team won't be head strong as well as athletic. It will.
The Spiders return all but one regular off a team that won 20 games last year and they add 2007-08 Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection Dan Geriot, who is back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Geriot, a 6-9 center, tore the knee ligament last summer and was forced to sit out the entire season. He led the Spiders in scoring as both a freshmen and sophomore. He's added strength and is fully recovered and hungry for the season after undergoing surgery a year ago. ...More |
