If Oklahoma State had not won nine of its last 12 games and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, speaking engagements wouldn't be so easy for Travis Ford.

But the Cowboys' second-year coach isn't bashful about pressing flesh and in fact loves to build enthusiasm for a budding team that went 23-12 overall and 9-7 in the Big 12.

"It's a chance to promote our basketball team," Ford said.

Although the Cowboys will be young, they're worth plugging.

James Anderson, a 6-7 wing who ranked fourth in the Big 12 in scoring with an 18.2-point average, heads the returnees, though another wing, Obi Muonelo, provides more experience as the squad's only senior.
