T.J. Robinson scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lift Long Beach State to a 65-51 win against Cal State Northridge on Saturday night. Cal State Northridge coach Bobby Braswell was encouraged by the Matadors' play in victories over UC Santa Barbara and UC Riverside, only to see them revert to form in a loss to Long Beach State.
The Matadors upset the Gauchos, 76-69, on Jan. 30 and followed with a 63-47 victory over UC Riverside on Feb. 4.
Junior guard Raymond Cody came off the bench to score a career-high 18 points. The Matadors shot 49 percent from the field, making 10-of-19 3-point shots, while holding the Highlanders to 30 percent shooting.
